We know of the Olympics, ever heard of the Wine Olympics?

A group of five female Kenyan sommeliers, including a coach, have come together to form a strong team to represent Kenya in this competition touted as the “Olympics of Wine”. The team has already started training together, confident that they will rise to the occasion, and are set to travel on the 1st of October to acclimatize and train in the climate and elevation of Champagne. The ensemble consists of Joy Adero, Melissa Mwende, Soraiya Ladak, Beverly Mbaika and Victoria Mulu-Munywoki, who we have varied backgrounds but share a deep passion for wine. The wine professionals have gone through the WSET wine education program and are willing to dedicate time and put in the work required to compete on the world stage.
