One of the big events throughout the eighties was going to a Michael Clark show. They were always visually and musically brilliant. It was spring, no it was summer. I played On-U Sound and Andrea True Connection. I met Michael Clark in the early/mid eighties. I used to organise small parties in a little wine bar off Bayswater, where I’d also DJ’. One night I invited Rachel and Leigh along and they brought a couple of friends with them, one being MC. So my first introduction to his dancing was not in a theatre, but on the dance floor.  In the following years I tried to see every show. Anyway this week, following on the pirate shirt tails of the Vivienne Westwood 80’s playlist, we jump from fashion to (more fashion) and dance, with a playlist of music or artists loosely associated with the punk peter pan, Michael Clark…………the memory is not what it was when it was, but the imagination still works a bit.……………close your eyes and watch the boy wonder waltz across the universe….. 1 Glenn Branca-Dissonance 2 Segment 1,2,3 – The Buzzcocks, On-U Sound, Bruce Gilbert, Erik Satie The Fall. 3 Glenn Branca-Lesson No.2 4 Erik Satie-Ogives-Les Fleurs-Bojan Gorisek 5 Bruce Gilbert-Angel Food 6 The Fall-Mr Pharmacist 7 Wire-Drill 8 Snippets-T-Rex 9 Bruce Gilbert-The Shivering Man 10 Elvis Presley-Are You Lonesome Tonight?
