Roxy. Remade, Revisited The overdue follow-up / companion to 2015’s Roxy Music mix. As before, we’ll be featuring the members’ extra-curricular activities -solo releases; outside projects like 801 and MacKay’s gig as musical director for the TV series Rock Follies- with a couple of covers chucked in for good measure. But this time round, there’ll also be an ear cast towards ancillary members: the pre-Manzanera guitarists Roger Bunn and Davy O’List (that’s him on the Peel session and Jet track) and the rotating cast of supply bassists: Rik Kenton, Sal Maida (Milk ‘n’ Cookies), Johnny Gustafson (Big Three) and John Wetton (Mogul Thrash). Also, because he’s possibly the band’s most beloved member who EVERYBODY got on with, The Great Paul Thompson gets a bit of individual spotlight with early outfit Smokestack Crumble and his solitary Roxy composition, Your Application’s Failed. To conclude with the opening, Pachelbel’s Canon was used as the walk-on music at their early live performances. Ah, Roxy; their crazy music drives you insane.
