West Coast Alt Country 1

So this week we have a lovely little selection of bands/artists from the poppier end of the West Coast alt/country scene-of the late 60’s/early 70’s-featuring the likes of Gram Parsons, Gene Clark & Neil Young- Over the past six months or so, I been surprised to keep bumping into friends that are not so familiar with this scene -so this is a kind of introduction?     GENE CLARK-THE VIRGIN/BECAUSE OF YOU/SHIP OF THE LORD/WHITE LIGHT THE BYRDS-NOTHING WAS DELIVERED/PRETTY POLLY/I AM A PILGRIM/YOU GOT A REPUTATION THE FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS-TO LOVE SOMEBODY/DARK END OF THE STREET/FADED LOVE/I SHALL BE RELEASED/WILD HORSES BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD-ON THE WAY HOME/MR SOUL/I AM A CHILD THE CRAZY HORSE-I DON’T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT
