The folk music players in the UK have a much more liberal outlook on arrangements than we've had in the US. They enjoy shaking things up a bit while we tend to view traditional music with more reverance, staying close to the original renditions. On Pt.1 this week, we'll hear arrangements of folk music from the UK, some of which have been radically rearranged to more modern tastes. We'll hear The Young Tradition, The Furrow Collective, Fairport Convention and others.
